The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Recreation Supervisor, this casual position role is responsible for providing front line customer service to snack bar patrons at the Mayfield recreation facility. Responsible for operation of the snack bar machinery, safe handling of all product, cash handling, reporting details, inventory and light cleaning. As the Snack Bar Attendant, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

  • Promote and sell all product available snack bar
  • Work in compliance with Cash Handling procedures. Accept payment for and process sales; balance cash and end of shift deposits/floats
  • Work in accordance to Cash Handling procedures and protocol as it relates to the position Perform administrative tasks (i.e. inventory, waste tracking, opening and closing checklists
  • Ensure confidentiality of all information pertaining to staff, clients and facility operations
  • Assist in providing a clean, healthy, safe environment for the program and ensure equipment is stored as required
  • Be responsible to work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the Town of Caledon Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellent customer service skills. We are seeking an individual with superior verbal communication skills, a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent computer skills.

The successful candidate for the Snack Bar Attendant will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely and after hours (as required).

This position offers an hourly rate of $15.79.

Satisfactory passing of a criminal record check will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
